OUR SURIVORS - additional stories The San Diego Brain Injury Foundation is proud of it's survivors and welcomes the opportunity to share their stories with you. If you have a story to share please forward it and any photos you would like to include to the Director of Operations either by e-mail or regular mail. Click on their photos for their stories. 1947-2010 He did a lot of things… he was an electrician, and sound technician, setting up sound systems in schools and hospitals in the area. But most fondly, he recalled his years as a lobster fisherman, and captain of a boat-delivery service for several years (through 1995). Dedicated people at SDBIF have been of great help to bring me where I am today--having a goal and a promising future.
Sometimes now, sometimes when I’m quiet and still, I consider with increasing wonder what fateful force, what favor, sought me out in this conspiracy to keep me alive. This adventure showed me a way into an internal and external other world.
