DONATE

Thank you for visiting the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation’s online donation page. Your generous support helps the Foundation provide hope to survivors and their families.

Since our beginning in 1983, the mission of the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation has been to improve the quality of life for brain injury survivors and their families. Please take a moment to make a monthly pledge to SDBIF. As a member of the Foundation, you make an impact on the prevention of brain injury in San Diego and the recovery of our survivors.

Reaching out to brain injury survivors and their families and achieving our goal—to improve the quality of life of brain injury survivors and their families is only made possible through the continued dedication and support the Foundation receives from our families, friends, volunteers, professionals and donors in the community.

With your donation, the Foundation will be able to continue the services now in place:

  • Free educational monthly meetings in central (Hillcrest) and north county (Encinitas) featuring speakers of special interest to the brain-injury community as well as a Spanish speaking group in South Bay
  • Hospital Outreach Program that distributes information to case workers, discharge planners and physicians at trauma centers and major institutions about our resources
  • Howard House - a 24-hour, long-term residential-care facility for brain-injured survivors, located in Escondido
  • A telephone helpline with information and referral to other agencies, programs, services and support groups. 619. 294.6541
  • A Quarterly Newsletter with a circulation of 4000
  • Comprehensive Video Series on brain injury available free to survivors and their families
  • Publication: A Brain Injury Guide for Families in English and Spanish is available here on the site to download for free. Click here

Fundraising is especially challenging in today’s financial climate. Corporate sponsorships are down. Funding from grants has decreased. We receive no government funding. We rely entirely upon the generosity of you, our community, for program support. That is why SDBIF is making a special appeal to supporters to make an ongoing monthly pledge to the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation.

$5.00/month for a year would cover the cost of refreshments for one monthly meeting.

$10.00/month for a year would cover the cost of postage for postcards to survivors for one monthly meeting.

$15.00/month for a year would cover the cost of printing of postcards for one monthly meeting.

$20.00/month for a year would cover the cost of staff time in set-up and the hosting of two support group meetings for one month.

$35.00/month for a year would cover the cost of the mailing of one issue of a newsletter.

$50.00/month for a year would cover the cost of the staff giving information, resources and support through the telephone helpline for 90 people.

$100/month for a year would cover the cost of the printing of one newsletter.
