Howard House
Howard House, is a 24-hour, long-term ARF residential-care facility
exclusively for brain-injured individuals. |

The home was created
in
1987 and is operated by the non-profit San Diego
Brain Injury Foundation.
Howard
House, tucked away in a tree-lined neighborhood, in Escondido, is the
current home of
6 adults, each with his or her own private room. |

Howard House
has a therapy room, art room, swimming pool and specially equipped vans
to transport residents on day trips and to medical appointments.
Regular weekly outings are planned, nourishing meals are served, and a
daily activity schedule is posted. The residents enjoy swimming,
gardening, playing cards, and interact with each other and the staff in
a harmonious and cozy environment.
Howard House has
6
bedrooms and is approximately 6,000 square feet, on
one acre of land.
It
is licensed for 6 residents.

W e
are very pleased to
introduce Beth Anderson-Smith as the new director of
Howard House. Beth is originally
from Northern California and
moved to the North County about
3 ½ years ago. She joined the
staff at Howard House in January,
2004.
Beth shared,
“I’m very
excited about
this opportunity
to run Howard
House and make
it an even better
place for the
residents to live.”
